Safety on construction sites
We are a multidisciplinary team of architects and engineers committed to shaping safe, functional, and sustainable environments. Beyond designing innovative structures, we specialize in workplace safety consulting and professional training programs tailored to meet the highest industry standards. We have managed many projects both for public and private sectors. We understand the complexity of construction projects and commit all work activities to an injury free jobsite.
We are aware of the hazards inherent in all projects and set forth strategies to eliminate and/or protect against these hazards. We evaluate and plan all activities prior to work commencement, to ensure the safest work environment possible. We evaluate the safety concerns as the project progresses and implement all measures necessary to support our commitment to an injury free workplace. Mikomi oversees all activities and tasks needed to maintain a desired degree of excellence. We are D.Lgs. 81/2008 certified for workplace safety.
Our role
Construction environments are inherently high-risk due to the presence of heavy machinery, working at height, electrical systems, and dynamic site conditions. Therefore, safety must be integrated into every phase of a project—from planning and design to execution and completion. Project Directors and Site Managers must proactively enforce safety protocols, carry out regular risk assessments, and ensure all personnel are adequately trained and equipped.
In accordance with national and international safety legislation, such as [insert relevant legislation—e.g., OSHA, EU Directives, or local safety codes], managers are required to:
Develop and implement a comprehensive Safety Management Plan.
Monitor compliance with safety regulations throughout the construction process.
Coordinate with safety officers and contractors to ensure shared responsibilities are clear and enforced.
Provide continuous training and education to all site personnel on updated safety practices and emergency procedures.
Report, investigate, and learn from any incident or near-miss to prevent recurrence.
Complying with safety regulations
Failure to uphold these standards not only puts lives at risk but may also result in legal consequences, project delays, and reputational damage. On the other hand, a well-managed safety program contributes to higher productivity, better morale, and a stronger, more resilient project team.
Through our consultancy and training services, Mikomi Group supports construction professionals in aligning with best practices and complying with all applicable safety regulations. We help project leaders build a safety-first culture, reduce workplace injuries, and ensure every worker returns home safely.
